Winner: Guild of Health Writers’ Best Broadcast Programme 2012: ‘Living With Dementia’ (ITV Wales; producer).
Winner: Wishing Shelf Award Non-Fiction Award 2011: ‘I Fought Them All’ (author).
Runner-up: Commission for Racial Equality ‘Race in the Media’ UK Award 2002.
Runner-up: Amnesty International (Wales) Media Award (2002).
Contributed to UK national newspapers including The Times, The Observer, The Sun and the News of the World, and to most of the leading newspapers in Ireland, including the Irish Independent.
Regular contributor to the investigative pages of Private Eye.
Former columnist, The Big Issue Cymru & Wales On Sunday. Edited a number of publications, including Open, the magazine of the Wales Co-operative Centre.
Former chief reporter Wales on Sunday & investigations reporter South Wales Echo. Trained on the Western Telegraph.
